Inside raised, protruding scars, micro-channels are created at 1mm to 3mm intervals using CO₂ or Er:YAG lasers. The goal is to release the adhesions of excessively proliferated collagen tissue.

In this process, the scar structure gradually softens, and the treatment helps the scar to naturally alleviate.


This treatment aims to reach deeper parts of the dermal layer rather than merely ablating the scar surface. Therefore, it may be considered for cases requiring deep access, such as papular scars or hypertrophic scars.
